Wiccy Magic Muscles – LUSH Review

Hello all! It has been an interesting week so far. Lots of school work and other end of year events. I thought that it would be best to talk about one of my latest massage bar purchases since I have been using it after my work outs this month! So I am going to introduce to you… The Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar!!

As usual, I got this bar because of its “healing” and “soothing” qualities. According to LUSH, this is a spicy bar for sore muscles (it sure is spicy).

Here are some pictures of mine:

Positives:

  • Massage worthy: very moisturizing
  • Great for sore muscles
  • Aduki beans (red dots) make for a great massage
  • Looks adorable in the LUSH tin
  • Lasts a while

Negatives:

  • VERY strong aroma
  • Little oily: use a dusting powder after use

Overall I enjoy this massage bar. I think that the spicy smell of cinnamon and peppermint make it unique. Plus, the aduki beans add a unique edge to the product. I mainly use this product after I work out or ski. It is great for sore leg and ab muscles.

Also, if you have never purchased the LUSH oval tin, it is a great $3 well spent (or however much it is). It protects your massage bars from the scary outside world and also if it does melt, at least it will still be in an oval shape!

BOTTOM LINE: If you enjoy massages and have sore muscles frequently, this is the bar for you! it actually does a great job soothing muscles. But be warned, the smell is very strong and takes some time to get used too!

I hope this helps when thinking about LUSH massage bars! Let me know what massage bars you have or want to try! Tata for now!

The Medicine Cabinet Storage

Hello all! I hope everyone is getting off on a good start to the week. For me, I only have a week of school left! How exciting! Then I get to shop, shop and shop more for Christmas presents.

I have been meaning to show my LUSH face products in my medicine cabinet:

These are all the LUSH goodies in my face collection:

  • Let The Good Times Roll facial cleanser
  • Angles on Bare Skin facial cleanser
  • Coal Face facial cleanser
  • Ultraband facial cleanser
  • Celestial facial moustirizer
  • Skin Shangri La moustirizer
  • Ultrabalm
  • Mint Julep lip scrub
  • Gorgeous facial moustirizer sample
  • Full of Grace
  • Breath of Fresh Air toner
  • Eyes Right eye cream
  • Grease Lighting spot treatment
  • 9 to 5 facial cleanser
  • Sparkle toothy tabs
  • Lemon Flutter cuticle cream sample

I never realized how much that is! I switch the products I use daily. For instance, if I am in the mood for something sweet I use Let The Good Times Roll and Gorgeous (which I finally splurged on in my last haul). Angles on Bare Skin is also a great everyday cleanser. I highly suggest it. Also, if you have never tried any LUSH moisturizers, they are seriously phenomenal. This LUSH section is the bottom shelf in my medicine cabinet.

I also think it is cool to show what beauty products I have above my LUSH stash:

For the bottom shelf I have all of my contact stuff (contacts, contact case, contact solution, etc.). Also on this shelf are my teeth whitening tools, cotton swabs and lotion wipes (I am still contemplating whether I like these).

I also have a few Victoria Secret lotions (one is a self tanner in the smell Love Spell and the other is just a normal lotion). I also have a Pacifica self tanning lotion in Coconut Pearl. I also have some Neutrogena body oil, St. Ives exfoliating whips, Pssst! dry shampoo, Clean and Clear morning burst facial cleanser, H2O toner and Neutrogena toner.

I use all of these products weekly. But normally, the LUSH shelf is the most used!

Tata for now! Let me know if y’all enjoy these types of posts.

Michael Kors Haul

With the upcoming holiday season in gear (and the past weekend of Black Friday shopping), I decided to go out early in the morning to splurge on a one and only, Michael Kors watch!

My old watch (http://www.michaelkors.com/p/Michael-Kors-Michael-Kors-Tortoise-Jet-Set-Watch-TORTOISE-HORN/prod1620003_cat31902_cat35701_/?index=4&cmCat=cat000000cat145cat35701cat31902&isEditorial=false) decided that it was time to break and the battery stopped working. Therefore, I knew it was time to repurchase another Kors!

I was inspired by this Instagram post a few weeks ago:

This watch is one of Michael Kors newest watches. I loved the gold trim, shocking white face with roman numeral numbers and the diamonds that surrounded the outside of the face. It also is a unique watch because of its shape. It is not everyday that you see someone walking down the street (or wherever you might be) wearing a square Kors!

So I went to the Michael Kors store and tried it on. I thought it would be perfect but just looked very odd on my small wrists. So I went for another gold watch look and ended up purchasing this one:

This watch is called, Michael Kors Parker Glitz Watch. Since I got it on sale at an outlet, I cannot seem to find the exact link on their website. But it looks something like this watch: http://www.michaelkors.com/p/Michael-Kors-Michael-Kors-Parker-Glitz-Watch-Two-Tone-GOLDEN/prod15990032_cat20403_cat35701_/?index=47&cmCat=cat000000cat145cat35701cat20403&isEditorial=false. I cannot wait to wear this watch during the holidays!

For those of you who have never heard of Michael Kors, he is a great designer of watches, sun glasses, purses, jewelry, shoes and much much more! His website is http://www.michaelkors.com!

Tata for now!

Samples On Samples

For those of you who have never been to a LUSH store or ordered products online, they give you many many samples! Sometimes you can pick the sample while other times they already have pre-made samples. Today, I will show two examples of samples that I got from some of my latest LUSH hauls!

Example #1: These samples were actually given to me. I did not pick the products to try. Since the marker wore off, two of the samples were Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner and one sample was Its Raining Men shower gel.

  • I actually am a huge fan of the conditioner and have one of the 16.9 oz. bottles. I highly suggest Happy Happy Joy Joy to anyone who is a fan of floral aromas.
  • For Its Raining Men, I have never tried it! I did enjoy the shower gel but it was a little to sweet for me. If you are a lover of LUSH’s Honey I Wash The Kids Soap, then this is the perfect shower gel for you!

Example #2: For these samples, I told them what I wanted to try out.

  • As you can tell, the first product I tried was Whoosh shower jelly. I loved it! I have a big pot of the Sweetie Pie shower jelly but I think my next purchase will have to be Whoosh! It is very minty and fresh. I have heard that it is great to freeze and use in the shower over the summer.
  • The other sample is Curly Wurly hair shampoo. I am a huge fan of the smell and texture of the shampoo (coconut lover right here) but, it was not for me. I felt like it did not do the job to clean my hair. Also, I think this product was made for people with really curly or frizzy hair.
  • The final sample is Turkish Delight shower smoothie. I actually really enjoyed using this shower smoothie and would recommend it to anyone. But be warned… it is a more expensive shower smoothie from LUSH.

Let me know what samples you have been trying and which ones you would recommend for my next LUSH purchase!

The Drawer of LUSH

For those of you who have not read my post about my LUSH Haul go look at it! In that post, I have a picture of a drawer with a bunch of LUSH goodies. Recently, I went threw the entire drawer and will be posting separate product reviews on each product. But, I just wanted to talk about what I put in this drawer and some of my must have products that are in it.

The Drawer of LUSH:

IMG_3759

The contents of this drawer contain:

  • empty clear LUSH containers
  • Lotions
  • Plastic bags for Volcano foot mask
  • Dusting powders
  • Empty LUSH bags
  • Samples
  • Unused soaps

Above is basically a summery of all the products and contents in this drawer. I basically keep everything that is not shower, face or bath related in here. So that leaves all the body products like foot care, dusting powders, and lotions. As you can tell, it also is a storage for my empty products.

As promised, my favorite and most used products that I reach for in this drawer are:

  • Lovely Jubblies which is a floral breast cream. This is one of my most used and loved lotions because it firms the skin. I use it under my eyes and on my legs. As the description gives it away- it is also supposed to be used for the breast.
  • Schnuggle which is a body butter. I absolutely adore this product. Seriously, it should not be in the Retro collection because it is the best of the best. It is great for people who are not really a lotion fan because it does not leave the skin greasy. I highly recommend this to everyone.
  • Coconut deodorant is another favorite in this drawer. I love the smell of coconuts and this hits the spot. It is a powder that you just dab under your arms. It also makes the under arms very very very smooth. Another plus about this product is that it does not make any deodorant marks on your clothes!

Overall, those are some of my most reached for products that I use daily. Feel free to comment if you have any questions about this post! 🙂

LUSH Haul

Since it seems a lot of my followers love haul posts, here are some recent LUSH purchases this past month.

I decided to splurge and take a chance to try some of the Retro products. The Retro and non- Retro products that I purchased included…

  • Rose Jam shower gel (now a part of the Christmas collection)
  • Ibiza Party hair shampoo
  • Gumback Express shower smoothie
  • In The Nude bath melt
  • Schnuggle body butter
  • Let The Good Times Roll (non-retro, can get in stores)
  • sample- Sea Vegetable soap

IMG_3364

I have tried all of the products. My favorite and most used would be the Rose Jam shower gel (smells exactly like the Rose Jam bubble bar) and the Schnuggle body butter.  Schnuggle is phenomenal because it is used outside of the shower and since I am not a huge lotion fan, I use it almost daily. It is similar to other body butter or massage bars but the nice thing about Schnuggle is that it leaves your skin moist but not sticky like other lotions do.

Ibiza Party is also a pretty good shampoo. Originally, I purchased it because LUSH claimed it “helps with de-tangeling” (which is totally false). But another reason I purchased it is because it helps with dry scalp and is a great combination to the scalp treatment from LUSH, Superbalm.

Gumback Express is an interesting product. it drew me in because I am a lover of almond and banana items, which are the main two ingredients in this one of a kind shower smoothie. Even though the smell is a tad bit funky, I enjoy using this at least once a week to exfoliate. The almond chunks really do the job well.

Let The Good Times Roll is one of my all time favorite products from LUSH because it smells phenomenal and the holiday season is quickly approaching. I highly recommend this facial cleanser for anyone who loves sweet smells (or likes eating graham crackers). It is not harsh on the skin so I believe that it will work nicely for all skin types.
