Spring Is In The Air!

Like this post if you have discovered any Spring campaigns? These campaigns could be on social media, websites, flyers, catalogs, and so on. This post will highlight my favorite Spring campaigns/social media posts from three different companies.

FACE Stockholm:

FACE Stockholm is a Scandinavian company that originated from Sweden. It was founded by Gun Nowak and her daughter, Martina Arfwidson. FACE produces beauty products that are the highest quality with a variety of colors. The FACE brand represents, “naturally based, trend forward, simple, clean, gorgeous, and fun beauty.” They value the interaction between woman, confidence, and woman empowerment. Here are a few graphics from their website representing the Pastel Story – May 2014 campaign:

I adore the top graphic. I love FACE polishes. They have a large variety of shades. If you are looking for a color, FACE has it! Check out all of their polish swatches here. Incorporating products with Spring decor is a wonderful idea.

I also enjoy the bottom graphic since it highlights the key components of the Pastel Story. These are pastel FACE products, FACE swatches, pastel art, pastel flowers, and a pastel make-up look. Inspiration or idea boards always make for a unique, cool, brand worthy graphic.

Lilly Pulitzer:

I discussed the Lilly Pulitzer brand in many of my older posts. In short, Lilly Pulitzer is a colorful brand that focuses on event wear, beach wear, and vacation wear. Although, I am sure you can find something from Lilly for any occasion! I wear Lilly sweater and jeans in the winter and fall. Here are my recent social media favorites which scream Spring:

Lilly Pulitzer created an excellent digital PR campaign called #lilly5x5. These posts are from different social media outlets and highlight the #lilly5x5’s that were created. The only post that does not reference to the #lilly5x5 is the center picture in the top row. “Ring the Bellboy” is the name of that print. Overall, Lilly Pulitzer does a phenomenal job representing their brand throughout social media platforms. This posts scream Spring, Summer, and color!!

LUSH Cosmetics:

LUSH also is celebrating spring and Mother’s Day with digital posts. I have a picture of the LUSH bar on the bottom of their homepage. The bar has references to the Mother’s Day social media campaign, LUSH blog posts about Spring, and Charity Pot information:

They also come out with a range of Mother’s Day products that are perfect for rainy and sunny Spring Days. You can check them out here.

Face Stockholm Nail Lacquer Collection

This post is for my nail polish followers! I did another post about Face sharing my holographic polishes from them. This post goes along with that one to show all my normal polishes from them! So lets get started! I have 9 polishes from them:

So I will just explain each Face polish from left to right (by the way… face just numbers their polishes and does not give them specific names):

  • #83 garnet – this is a beautiful deep red polish. I use this a lot in the winter time. It is a great cranberry color for any skin type! This polish is also super glossy.
  • #124 classic red – this is truly a classic red! I just had this polish on my toes and loved it! Very vintage and very red!
  • #67 hot mango – I got this one over the summer of course! It really is a hot color! Very bright and lovely.
  • #132 sparkle bronze pink – I LOVE this color. I wear this one a lot… I would say it definitely is one of my most popular polishes in my collection. It is the perfect simple bronze shade.
  • #144 shimmer pink – I love how light this polish is… it is the perfect color to wear if you hate to see chips!
  • #101 cotton candy – this is a perfect light pink color. I use this one a lot on my nails! It is really cotton candy like!
  • #107 creamy hyacinth – this is a very beautiful light purple. I like how it is not to dark nor light. It is a great medium shade!
  • #35 orchid taupe – this is a lovely gray shade with a hint of purple. Just a hint though! Love wearing this all year round.
  • #70 baby blue – I love this blue! This is the perfect, perfect PERFECT light blue color!

So overall I love Face Stockholm polishes! I found this english brand because they have a few stores near me (Rhinebeck and Hudson, New York). I love the simple look of the polishes. The brushes are also lone and thin (perfect for smaller nail shapes). The only problem is that the colors do settle easily – you can probably tell in the pictures!

Have you ever tried Face Stockholm polishes?

Brazed Honey Face Mask Review

Today I wanted to review the Brazed Honey, LUSH fresh face mask. This is one of their popular ones! It is very subtle and enjoyable. I think that it works well for people with combination or oily skin. LUSH says that it is best with oily and congested skin… my skin is nothing like that and it helped eliminate all the redness!

Here are some pictures of the product and me with the mask on:

The texture of this mask is very grainy with a yellowish/tan color. Fresh ingredients in this mask are honey (of course), eggs, lime oil, different spices and ground almonds. Each of these ingredients have a special purpose. For instance, the lime oil helps to brighten the skin. This mask also has a subtle smell. It is not strong like some LUSH face masks. It just has a faint smell of honey.

I really enjoyed this mask! It is a great choice for people with combination skin or people who suffer from redness/acne. Thanks Violeta for this awesome treat for my face! I am still curious to know what masks y’all are all trying in this new year! Please share!

Face Holographic Nail Polish

So in my last nail polish post, I talked about the December 2013 Square Hue collection. One of the polishes in that collection was actually a silver holographic and I mentioned that I had a few other holographic polishes that I cherish. These are both Face Stockholm lacquers.

Here are the two polishes and swatches:

  • The polish to the left or the green polish is a part of Face Stockholm’s holographic nail polish line. It is called Thea. I really love this polish! Green has always been a tough color for me to love on my nails. I like the color in general, but always think my hands are dirty or just not right with green polish! But this green is very different. I like how it is a light, pastel shade. Plus, all the holographic effects greatly add to the color!
  • The one to the right or the tan polish is also from the holographic line from Face. This polish is named Leto. I LOVE this polish. It is a nude swatch but has a lot of holographic effects in it. Highly recommend this polish for anyone who is obsessed with tan, light, pale polishes. It is fun and flirty!

There are six different shades to the Face holographic collection. Besides the ones above, they have a pink, blue, silver and purple holographic polishes. If you want to learn more about these polishes or wish to purchase them, you can find them here: http://www.facestockholm.com/search.asp?Mode=Product&typeid=29&ProductID=1330

Let me know what your thoughts are on holographic polishes in general! Tata for now!!
