LUSH Spa Gift Set

Did you know that LUSH Cosmetics has a spa? A unique experience where sound, aroma, and emotion intertwine to stimulate a NEW you! I have been to the LUSH Spa only once on Lexington Ave. in New York City (see blog post here) and had The Comforter? treatment. This hour long massage included a hot chocolate body scrub following a rose-oil massage. This combination was phenomenal and greatly improved my dry, winter skin.

Lush Spa Gift LUSH just came out with a Spa Gift Set this year, which was featured in the Spring 2015 catalog. (email me if you want one, I have a thousand) This set includes six products, four of these are exclusive creations featured only in LUSH Spa treatments. A set of postcards that relate to each Spa treatment also comes with this set – an awesome surprise! Learn more about these Spa products:

  • Dreamtime Temple Balm (Spa Exclusive – can purchase at Spa locations): Dream Cream, Dream Time, and Dream Wash, Dream Toner Tab – if you adore these LUSH products you will LOVE this Temple Balm with soothing combinations of rich oils and jasmine absolute. Once cuddled up in bed, I like to apply this balm to my temples, lips, and any other area that needs some extra TLC. You can also purchase Temple Balm in the Whoosh scent.
  • Golden Slumbers Bath Bomb (Spa Exclusive): This bath bomb has made appearances in the LUSH Kitchen and other exclusive locations. With a strong lavender and chamomile scent, this bomb is perfect for a late night bath to relax your muscles and prepare you for a true ‘golden slumber.’ I just used this product and was not overjoyed. The shimmer was minimal and the scent was very, very STRONG! What do you think about Golden Slumbers?
  • Stepping Stone Foot Scrub: Have you done a LUSH foot treatment yet? Start out by using this Stone to exfoliate feet. Like Pop-Rocks, this green product fizzles on your feet while releasing hints of the ocean with citrus hues. Use Volcano Foot Mask and Feeling Feet Lotion afterwards for a full pedicure.
  • The Comforter? Body Scrub (Spa Exclusive): The main reason why I bought this kit! I loved, adored, and cherished my skin after getting The Comforter? This Body Scrub is very, very moisturizing! It is a hybrid between a massage bar and a exfoliating soap, since it hydrates to the max and exfoliates impurities.
  • Therapy Massage Bar: Hints of orange and lavender that act like a revitalizing therapy for your skin – and nose too! I have not tried Therapy yet (for some reason, it takes me decades to finish massage bars).
  • Energized Bubble Stone (Spa Exclusive): Attention LUSHies! Have you seen a Bubble Stone before? This cool invention is a bubble bar in a rock form. Just place under the faucet for a few minutes for calming bubbles. I added this to Golden Slumbers and slept like a baby!

This is a great Gift Set for LUSHies who have tried most LUSH products available year-round in store because of the product exclusiveness! Who can resist an at home spa day using cruelty free, all natural, environmentally friendly products? I sure can’t!

Easter at LUSH

LUSH Easter 2015

The LUSH Easter 2015 collection is very festive with a mixture of old favorites and NEW inventions! Once this collection was online, I immediately ordered these products:

  • Pot O’ Gold Shower Jelly – a soothing and cleansing jelly! I am not a huge fan of shower jellies, but knew I had to try this one for its gold hue! Have you tried this jelly yet? What do you think?
  • Somewhere Over the Rainbow Soap – an insanely beautiful and vibrant rainbow! Uplifting scents and colors make this product the perfect pick me up. Have you seen this soap in store? Check out the entire rainbow now!
  • Bubblegrub Bubble Bar – sweet as can be! I just used this product and adored the sweet scents, orange tones, and bubbles! The only downfall… melted white chocolate eyes stuck to the bottom of my tub.
  • Ultraviolet Bubble Bar – a bubble bar the size of The Comforter! Cool shades of purple, blue, and green are mixed together with hints of violet and jasmine. I have not used this bubble bar yet, but look forward to violet bubbles to go along with my Violet Nights bath oil (a Cosmetics-To-Go classic).
  • Golden Egg Bath Bomb – a hybrid bath bomb and bath melt. This toffee scented creation is super, super sweet! It feels like you are taking a bath in liquid gold… with bio-degradable glitter and olive oil floating around. The only downfall about this returning product is the overwhelming amount of glitter. Your bath tub will be covered in gold for days!
  • Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb – my FAVORITE! I love Fluffy Egg! This candy bath with a pink hue is an incredible soak. The sweet scent also lingers on your skin for hours! Is this bath bomb also one of your favorites?
  • The Immaculate Eggception Bath Bomb – a 3 in 1 bath bomb! Eggception is a returning bomb that comes in yellow and pink. I love this bath as it is very festive with a mini surprise in the middle!
  • Hoppity Poppity Bath Bomb – a fresh #spring bath! Earthy and minty tones make this bath bomb a perfect product to refresh your senses. Pop rocks are imbedded in this bunny to further create a relaxing environment of popping bubbles.

LUSH Valentine’s Day 2015

LUSH Valentine's Day Shades of pink and reds with scents that make you blush... Introducing select items from the LUSH Cosmetics Valentine’s Day Collection of 2015.

  • Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar – I have been waiting to try this bubble bar since it was released in Japan. This bar matches the Twilight bath bomb scent revealing hints of lavender and ylang ylang once crumpled under the faucet. The bath water bleeds glitter and bubbles while turning into a baby blue. A must for all!!
  • Love Locket Bath Bomb – An $11 bath bomb is ridiculous, but at least Love Locket can be used for three baths – both sides of the heart and the mini heart in the middle. This bubblegum pink bath bomb has not changed since last year (review here).
  • Lonely Heart Bubble Bar – Out of this group, I was least excited to try this product. It is a simple bubble bar that turns your bath a scarlet liquid with glitter. The unique scent of this not-so-bubbly product comes from the Love perfume – bergamot, jasmine, ylang ylang, and lemongrass.
  • Heart Throb Bubbleroon – Being the first exclusive Bubbleroon, Heart Throb has a lot on its plate. The scent is sexy and exhilarating while easily broken in half for two baths. This shea butter product turns your tub a cherry red with hints of gold flakes.
  • The Kiss Lip Scrub – Sugar + Salt + Sprinkles + Hot Pink + Glitter = Valentine’s Bliss. I love the sweet and salty taste. I love the coarse texture. My lips love it even more! Do your lips get cracked, dry, and flaky in the winter? Lip scrubs are the perfect treatment before applying lip balm since it scrubs away all dead skin and leaves healthy, smooth lips behind. (By far my favorite LUSH Lip Scrub – minus the hot pink mess it leaves)
  • Floating Flower Bath Bomb – Oh jasmine, how I love you and this bath bomb. Not only is the aroma enticing, the bomb actually twirls in the tub creating beautiful swirls of orange, green, and pink. This will definitely be a repurchase before the collection disappears.

Phoenix Rising & Fizzbanger

I have barley posted this summer… what a bummer on my part & I am sorry! It has been a hectic few months with a new job, traveling, and getting ready for school! My goal is to blog a few times each week during the semester… let’s pray this happens!

Today I wanted to discuss two baths I recently took – Phoenix Rising and Fizzbanger! Both of these Bath Bombs are available year round at any LUSH Cosmetics location. They are very unique!

Fizzbanger: I was never attracted to this product, until my mother used it! She swore by the smell and color of the bath. I had to give it a try. Fizzbanger is composed of apples and cinnamon hints with pop rocks that explode in the bath. If you put your head under water, you can hear the fireworks going off (hint, Fizzbanger)! There is even a secret note inside the bath bomb. Can you feel the fizz already? I enjoy this bath a lot and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique bath time!

Phoenix Rising: This was the first ever Bath Bomb I tried. I fell for the purple and gold outer layer with cinnamon hints. Yet did I know, the inside was a beautiful emerald green. This luxurious bath bomb is composed of cinnamon, cocoa butter, and shea butter. It moisturizes the skin to a new level. Even though I love LOVE this bath, I was disappointed with my last one. The bath bomb sunk, barley fizzed out, and lacked overall scent. Hopefully, that was just a fluke because Phoenix Rising is one of my all time favorite LUSH products!

LUSH Mother’s Day Bubble Bars

Hello all! I am very sorry for not posting last week… it has been one crazy month! I finished school, struggled through finals, and my boyfriend visited from Houston. I am also packing for FRANCE! Yes, I am heading to France in three days to spend time in Paris and Normandy! I am an Europe virgin… so this will be an experience of a lifetime! I am not sure how blogging will be over in Europe. But, I plan to blog a couple of times before I leave. Now to the LUSH limited edition Bubble Bars:

IMG_6652IMG_6653IMG_6655IMG_6558

This is the Rose Bubble Bar from the LUSH Mother’s Day range. It is a beautiful rose scent and creates a light pink bubble bath! I really enjoyed this bath because it was simple. There was no debris, glitter, or overwhelming scent. It is a great starter bubble bar. Unfortunately, this Rose is not available online, but it could still be available at your local LUSH store! Check it out before it is too late!

IMG_6638IMG_6555IMG_6527IMG_6606

Wonder Woohoo is another bubble bar from the LUSH Mother’s Day range. I was very excited to try this one since it is covered in good glitter and is inspired by Wonder Woman! LUSH did a phenomenal job connecting an inspiring, female superhero to mothers all around the world with this product! Wonder Woohoo creates many bubbles and turns the bath water a liquid gold. The scent is a fresh citrus. Some of the natural ingredients include  cornflour and Brazilian orange oil. The other ingredients are natural synthetics. Unlike Rose, this product is still available online at LUSH USA. Wonder Woohoo might also be available in LUSH stores also for a limited time.

Bunny Bubble Bar: Is it Worth it?

Have you tried the Bunny Bubble Bar yet from the LUSH Easter collection? It sure is a cute little bunny with its candy eyes, candy tails and pink tummy! But is it worth it? Or is it too similar to other LUSH bubble bars?! Here are some pictures of me using the Bunny Bubble Bar:

IMG_6278IMG_6279IMG_6281IMG_6285

BUBBLES: This little bunny makes A LOT of bubbles! If you are into sweet bubble baths, this product is for you! The bar is very easy to crumble under running water and immediately starts to bubble up! The bubbles las a while throughout the bath. But be warned because the bubbles are laced with little flower buds. I used all of this bar at once since my tub is quite large, but you can make this product last for two baths!

AROMA: This bunny also smells very very sweet! It reminds me of the Fluffy Egg and of the famous LUSH holiday scent, Snow Fairy! The ingredients that add to the smell are coconut oil, shea butter, and fair trade vanilla absolute! Now that I am writing this, I think the smell is very serene and peaceful.

DEBRIS: Like I mentioned in the section about the bubbles, this product is filled with blue cornflower petals. These petals are a nice fresh, natural, floral touch, but they debris your bath and your tub! My bubbles were filled with these little buds. I also noticed them dried on my tub the next day. It was not fun getting them off!

SIMILAR: Even though this is a limited edition LUSH Easter product, I do think there are many many yearly products that are super similar to this one. Some are the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar and Pop In The Bath.

INGREDIENTS: The natural ingredients in this bubble bare are the blue cornflower petals, coconut oil, fair trade vanilla absolute, shea butter, and cornflour! The rest of the ingredients are safe synthetics. This product is also vegan.

Did you participate in the Golden Egg hunt digital competition for LUSH USA/Canada?! Well it was very awesome! It finished on Friday. The goal of this competition was to find all of the golden eggs on the LUSH website from the clues that were posted on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. The clues were parts of a sentence that created a saying in the end. Can anyone guess what it was?! Here were the hints: No bunnies, our bubbles, in the, making of, were harmed. Share the answer below in the comments!

LUSH Bath Product Storage + Bubble Bar Reviews

Hello all! It is a gloomy day here in New York… I am excited though because I will be going to Houston, TX for a week on Saturday! I am excited to be in the 70 degree weather with unlimited sunshine! Today, I wanted to show y’all how I store my LUSH bath products and do two reviews over some of my latest bubble bar purchases. Here is my bath box:

IMG_3833IMG_3834

I got this container from Target. I like how it is sealed so the products can stay fresh. I also normally just leave them in their normal LUSH bags. But, I do put the large bubble bars like the Comforter in a plastic bag. I am surprised at how much can fit in this container… I think I use bath products so much since I take baths about every other day! I really love this set up and the box fits perfectly on a shelf in my bathroom. How do you organize your bath products?

For the first bubble bar review, I want to talk about A French Kiss:

IMG_3835

This is actually a half of this bubble bar! I like to split this one up and use it in my baths to add a bit of lavender. Yes, LAVENDER! That is what this LUSH product smells like! Lavender goodness. The ingredients in this product are – rosemary oil, cream of tartar, extra virgin coconut oil, and of course, lavender oil! This bath bomb also creates lots of bubbles! I would suggest this product for anyone who loves to take baths in the evening or someone who takes baths for relaxation purposes.

The next bubble bar I have to review is the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar:

IMG_3836

This is a really fun bubble bar because it is super sweet! Honestly, it smells like candy! I really enjoy taking a bath with this bubble bar when I need an uplifting! The products in this bubble bar that make it super sweet are – vanilla absolute, cream of tartar, almond oil and a cute, different colored candy flower on top! I suggest this bath for anyone who loves sweet aromas and also loves to relax in bubbles!

Have you tried any of these bubble bars yet?! Both of these are available year round in LUSH stores and online!

Magic Wand Bubble Bar Review

Hello all! The schoolwork is coming in fast… I already have so much readings! But anyways, that just means fewer posts each day 😦 I wanted to talk about another LUSH holiday bath product, Magic Wand! This is a cool invention because it is basically a bubble bar on a stick that you swish under your faucet and can use multiple times. I have used mine about four times and it looks brand new! I was a bit upset thought because my wand did not come with a little bell 😦

Here is Magic Wand:

IMG_3963

Positives:

  • Cute design – I love the look of this product! It looks like the tulip bubble stick LUSH came out with around Easter last year (I think I blogged about it a long time ago). Anyways, this design is super cute and helpful. You do not even have to put your hands on the product! Just need to do a few swishes under the running water. I also love the florescent pink color and the hot pink ribbon hanging down it. There is normally a bow at the end of the ribbon… but mine is bell-less.
  • Great smell- This is the exact same aroma as the Snow Fairy shower gel. It is super super sweet. Basically smells like a cotton candy explosion… even though I might not like this smell so much for the shower… It is beyond perfect for the bath!

Negatives:

  • Missing bubbles – You have to use a lot of swishes to get A LOT of bubbles. I like a good amount of bubbles in my bath because I love to lay and listen to them pop! So a downfall with this bubble bar stick is that I have to use it constantly when filling my bath tub to get a good amount of bubbles.

Unfortunately, Magic Wand is not available anymore. LUSH will probably come out with another bubble bar stick for another holiday! Like I said above, they came out with one for Easter last year (and that is not to to to far away). Let me know if you have tried any of the cool bubble bar sticks from LUSH!

In The Nude Bath Trio

With the start of the dry and cold winter air, I decided to celebrate the beginning of this season with a special bath trio! Recently I purchased the Retro, In The Nude bath melt because according to LUSH, it is used “for dry, sore or irritated skin.” I have an obsession with bath melts and thought that this one would be very beneficial for the winter months.

Here is the link to In The Nude: http://www.lushusa.com/In-The-Nude/02160,en_US,pd.html#q=In%2520The%2520Nude&start=1

Besides In The Nude, the trio was:

  1.  In The Nude bath melt
  2. Lavender bath confetti
  3. Tulip bubble stick

IMG_3689

I purchased the lavender confetti at a store in Rhinebeck, NY called Merriweathers. If you are not from the NY area, I am sure that you would not have a problem at all finding confetti online.

The other product I used in the bath was the Tulip bubble bar on a stick from the LUSH Easter collection. LUSH is not selling this product anymore but they have the Magic Wand bubble bar stick in their Christmas collection, which I am sure is the same. For this product, you put it under the faucet and then all of the bubbles start to form as the tub fills up.

I really enjoyed this bath trio. The water was extra hydrating and soothing from the In The Nude bath melt. The Tulip bubble stick also added all of the bubbles and added the smell one of my favorite LUH products, Yuzu and Cocoa bubble bar. Finally, the bath confetti added a bit of fun and made the tub look pretty.
