Let The Good Times Roll Product Review

Hello all! The snow is melting away fast :/ I do not want it to go because I want a white Christmas for the first time ever! Anyways, I decided today was the day to finally post my thoughts about Let The Good Times Roll LUSH facial cleanser. This product was a part of the holiday collection in 2012 and was so popular and successful, that they made it a year round product. And let me tell ya, it is really great!

So here are some pictures of my cleanser plot:

Positives:

  • Phenomenal aroma – carmel popcorn it is! To me, it smells like I am rubbing graham crackers all over my face.
  • Great texture – this cleanser is very light and airy I like to say. I think it differs from other LUSH facial cleansers because it is mazed based. (which adds to the graham cracker take).
  • A little goes a long way – I really think you can salvage this little pot of product for about 6 months.
  • Great results – I switch Angels on Bare Skin and this one weekly. I really like the results I get from both but the Let The Good Times Roll does brighten up my skin. Let’s just say, if I were to go on a trip and could only fit one, I would pick Let The Good Times Roll!

Negatives:

  • Small packaging – I do not think you can buy this cleanser in a larger or any other size. The only size I have seen and purchased has been the one above, the 3.5 ounces. I know with other cleansers, you can pick the price and tell them you want that much! Hopefully in the future, you will be able to do that with this cleanser.

So as you can tell from the number of positives and negatives, I really love this facial cleanser. I was so happy to hear they were bringing it back full time and purchased it immediately! It came out around the same time as Rose Jam this year. Let me know if you have tried this cleanser and your thoughts!? Tata for now!

The Medicine Cabinet Storage

Hello all! I hope everyone is getting off on a good start to the week. For me, I only have a week of school left! How exciting! Then I get to shop, shop and shop more for Christmas presents.

I have been meaning to show my LUSH face products in my medicine cabinet:

These are all the LUSH goodies in my face collection:

  • Let The Good Times Roll facial cleanser
  • Angles on Bare Skin facial cleanser
  • Coal Face facial cleanser
  • Ultraband facial cleanser
  • Celestial facial moustirizer
  • Skin Shangri La moustirizer
  • Ultrabalm
  • Mint Julep lip scrub
  • Gorgeous facial moustirizer sample
  • Full of Grace
  • Breath of Fresh Air toner
  • Eyes Right eye cream
  • Grease Lighting spot treatment
  • 9 to 5 facial cleanser
  • Sparkle toothy tabs
  • Lemon Flutter cuticle cream sample

I never realized how much that is! I switch the products I use daily. For instance, if I am in the mood for something sweet I use Let The Good Times Roll and Gorgeous (which I finally splurged on in my last haul). Angles on Bare Skin is also a great everyday cleanser. I highly suggest it. Also, if you have never tried any LUSH moisturizers, they are seriously phenomenal. This LUSH section is the bottom shelf in my medicine cabinet.

I also think it is cool to show what beauty products I have above my LUSH stash:

For the bottom shelf I have all of my contact stuff (contacts, contact case, contact solution, etc.). Also on this shelf are my teeth whitening tools, cotton swabs and lotion wipes (I am still contemplating whether I like these).

I also have a few Victoria Secret lotions (one is a self tanner in the smell Love Spell and the other is just a normal lotion). I also have a Pacifica self tanning lotion in Coconut Pearl. I also have some Neutrogena body oil, St. Ives exfoliating whips, Pssst! dry shampoo, Clean and Clear morning burst facial cleanser, H2O toner and Neutrogena toner.

I use all of these products weekly. But normally, the LUSH shelf is the most used!

Tata for now! Let me know if y’all enjoy these types of posts.

Latest LUSH Haul

I recently went to LUSH to stock up on some of my favorites! I went to the LUSH store in Danbury, Connecticut. It was an awesome store and had a great interior design. But most importantly, the customer service was incredible. I had two awesome ladies who spent almost an hour with me deciding what products should join my collection and would be the best for my body.

Here is the link to the FB page for the Danbury Mall store: https://www.facebook.com/LUSHDanbury

I ended up getting a lot of new products and even re-purchasing some!

LUSH shower products are my favorite. I am a huge fan of them all! The ones in my collection to this day are Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner, Rehab shampoo (one of the best shampoos for damaged hair), Love Juicy, Daddy-O (great for blondes), Fair Trade Honey ( I just finished this bottle), BIG shampoo, and the solid shampoos are NEW! & Godiva. For shower gels I have, The Olive Branch, Grass, Rose Jam, Dirty, Rub Rub Rub, Sweetie Pie shower jelly and Rose Argon. I also have to retro products here, Gumback Express (banana and almond shower smoothie) & Ibiza Party shampoo.

I also have a lot of bath products! But since those are changing constantly, I decided I would do a review of my favorites for a future post.

Have you tried any of these products? Are there any products that I am missing out on?

My LUSH Top 5

LUSH recently came out with their Top 25 products. I found this information quite interesting since I am a die hard “LUSHie” and was curious to see if my favorite products were on the list. Some of the products actually did surprise me and on the other hand, I thought that: of course those products are included in the Top 25!

Here is the Top 25 List:  http://www.lushusa.com/Top-25-Best-Sellers/top25bestsellers,en_US,sc.html?gclid=CK3Z6NTUsroCFYSd4AodIz8AYw

I was a bit disappointed that they did not include the order of popularity in the Top 25. It would have been very interesting and beneficial to see the “number one” product of LUSH. If I had to pick a “number one” product out of this category, it would be a tie between Angles on Bare Skin and Godiva. I like Angles on Bare Skin because it is my daily cleanser. It helps to hydrate my face and balance out the oil. I absolutely love Godiva because of the jasmine smell. It is probably one of my favorite all time smells of LUSH.

Although this list includes some great products from LUSH, there are a few surprising products on this list that I believe are too unique for the daily consumer and therefore, make me question the list! For example, the solid shampoo bar, NEW!, is very unusual because of its strong cinnamon aroma. I actually have used this product and although it does wonders for your scalp, it does make your hair smell very fall like!

To honor the LUSH Top 25 product list, I thought that I would create my own Top 5 product list. Here it is…!

  1. Phoenix Rising Bath Bomb- This is by far my favorite bath bomb because of the smell and vibrant color. The color of this bath bomb is purple and gold, when it is used in the tub it turns the water a fuchsia color with gold glitter. The smell of this product is also phenomenal. A LUSH sales representative once told me that the LUSH factories in Canada smell exactly like this product and that LUSHies consider it the traditional scent.
  2. Vanishing Cream Moisturizer- This is my favorite moisturizer because of the results. It is light and airy, when I put it on my face I feel like nothing is on there. Also, the scent is very fresh and unique. This is by far one of the best face products compounded by LUSH.
  3. Ultrabalm- This product is a life savior. It helps to heal and hydrate dry skin. I use it everywhere, on my lips, ears, arms and even elbows. If there was one LUSH product I would bring to a deserted island it would be this one!
  4. Daddy-O Hair Shampoo- This shampoo is a need for blondes. The shampoo is a rich purple and smells amazing. It is supposed to help lighten and hydrate blonde locks and from personal experience, it does exactly that!
  5. Godiva Solid Shampoo Bar- This product was in the original Top 25 LUSH products and it is all because of the smell. I am a huge fan of jasmine and this is definitely one of the spot light products from LUSH that makes your hair smell like a flower garden after use.
