Alex and Ani – #MotivationNation

Alex and Ani is an awe inspiring company that focuses on the aspects and realities of being a human. They created a product that relates to us. Whether it is the Tree of Life or the Star of Venus. Each item has it’s own characteristics – hope, inspiration, beauty, love, intelligence, luck, and many more.

I especially love their #MotivationNation campaign that is about bringing positivity and motivation to their audience.

What do you think of their motivational quotes? Is this a social media campaign that reflects their brand message?

Alex and Ani – Path of Life

So I rarely post jewelry posts, but I am posting one today! I got the Alex and Ani book for Christmas, Path of Life. It was very very very positive and almost life changing for a jewelry company’s book! So I wanted to share my Alex and Ani jewelry along with my thoughts and reasonings behind purchasing each piece!

Here is the Path of Life book:

So this book was great… it basically was composed of mini stories about why people gravitate towards certain Alex and Ani bracelets. I enjoyed reading about each persons reasoning and logic behind a simple piece of jewelry! The book also described the company’s history and roots in Massachusetts. The final part of the book was a dictionary of all the bracelet’s it was really interesting to see every bracelet they offer!

Here is my collection of Alex and Ani bracelets:

I have seven bracelets. Some have a personal connection while others are just for fun and looks! Each bracelet has three words that go along with it! You will see what I mean when I describe each. I have (from left to right)…

  • Star of Venus – love/beauty/inspiration – this is a lovely bracelet for me. I love love love the gold copper color of the wires and the meanings should be held true for every women!
  • Living Water – purity/healing reflection – this is actually a Charity By Design bracelet from Alex + Ani. This means that they send a certain amount of the profit from this bracelet design to the charity they are representing. In this case, it is Living Water International.
  • Peridot (August birth stone) – peace/luck/courage – yes, I am an August baby! This bracelet is one of my only ones in silver. I love how shiny it is and the meaning behind the stone is so powerful! They offer a birth stone for every month.
  • I am not sure that this blue beaded bracelet has a specific name… it is just one of their bangles that has mini royal blue beads around it! (You can see a part of the beads in the pictures below).
  • Initial Charm – A – personal/timeless/distinctive – this is actually their old initial design. Obviously, my name is Andrea so this charm bracelet is personal and distinctive and even timeless to me! They have all the letters of the alphabet in this charm style!
  • Best Friends – loyalty/happiness infinity – this charm bracelet comes with two halves. It is like one of those best friends bracelets! One of my good friends has the other half of mine! This one is another Charity By Design bracelet supporting the chairity, American Heart Association.
  • Air Force – integrity/excellence service – my boyfriend was in the Air Force for a while and he got me this bracelet. I love love love it! He did a great job in the Air Force and am proud to call him my other half!

Other than bangles, Alex and Ani also offers necklaces, rings and earrings. Another gift I got for Christmas was a pair of Alex and Ani earrings in the stone, Illumination. Illumination is a part of their Crystal: Color Therapy line that has 11 different stones. Illumination means intellect, illumination and spirituality:

To finish of this unique post, I wanted to show you two close ups of my favorite bracelets. Alex and Ani is an awesome all-American jewelry brand that is insanely popular in the Northeast. Check it out! Let me know if you have any Alex and Ani jewelry that you treasure!

Tiffany Christmas Catalog

Hello all! It has been an eventful day for me I had a final this morning and the snow is coming down! I am excited to ski this weekend at Hunter Mountain in the Catskills. But enough with my life, I wanted to show y’all one of my favorite “catalogers”, Tiffany & Co.

So many of you might have received this catalog in the mail but I just wanted to post about it since it was so festive and blue!!

Here are the front and back covers:

The catalog had thick card board like paper for the covers and binding. Of course, as expected, the colors were white, tiffany blue and black for the logo. But one side of the catalog had a little holiday spirit! The front had red shiny lettering that said “The Perfect Holiday Comes Wrapped In Blue.” I thought that this was a cute take Christmas gifts.

Next are some of the page designs pictured below:

These spreads are very different. One shows their products: fancy rings, large gemstones and lots lots lots of diamonds. The other spread shows where they “picture” their product being. In this ones case, near a christmas tree, husband and wife sitting on a couch, husband surprises wife with a Tiffany gift.

These spreads are what made this Tiffany catalog different from the rest. They actually showed humans for once!! It was not just a bunch of diamonds. I really enjoyed this catalog because it showed products and realities.

Let me know what y’all think! Tata for now!

Michael Kors Haul

With the upcoming holiday season in gear (and the past weekend of Black Friday shopping), I decided to go out early in the morning to splurge on a one and only, Michael Kors watch!

My old watch ( decided that it was time to break and the battery stopped working. Therefore, I knew it was time to repurchase another Kors!

I was inspired by this Instagram post a few weeks ago:

This watch is one of Michael Kors newest watches. I loved the gold trim, shocking white face with roman numeral numbers and the diamonds that surrounded the outside of the face. It also is a unique watch because of its shape. It is not everyday that you see someone walking down the street (or wherever you might be) wearing a square Kors!

So I went to the Michael Kors store and tried it on. I thought it would be perfect but just looked very odd on my small wrists. So I went for another gold watch look and ended up purchasing this one:

This watch is called, Michael Kors Parker Glitz Watch. Since I got it on sale at an outlet, I cannot seem to find the exact link on their website. But it looks something like this watch: I cannot wait to wear this watch during the holidays!

For those of you who have never heard of Michael Kors, he is a great designer of watches, sun glasses, purses, jewelry, shoes and much much more! His website is!

Tata for now!

Kendra Scott Rave

Since I am a Southern Bell from the great state of Texas, I have been immersed and obsessed with southern fashion. This fashion ranges from monograms, charm bracelets, cow girl boots, and now to the jewelry designer, Kendra Scott. Kendra launched her collection with just 500 dollars in 2002 and now, it is a multi-million dollar brand almost 11 years later.

For those of you who want to learn more about Kendra and her jewelry, you can visit her website at

But, the reason why I want to rave on and on about Kendra is because of my recent purchase from her huge online sale. I decided to get a trio ring set.

Since my fingers are pretty chubby, I am a size 8. But I really enjoy that each ring is pretty unique and will match almost anything. I mean, what does not match with gold and a pearl white? The rings also come in different colors and are still available in the online sale ( You can either stack them or wear them separately!

My nail polish color is from the October SquareHue Collection called: Iron Horse. If you are not familiar with SquareHue you can visit their website at But, I will start to do posts about SquareHue and you can learn a lot about them then!

If you have any questions about either Kendra Scott or SquareHue, feel free to comment! Tata for now!
